Designed in collaboration with legendary lure designer and swimbait angler Mike Bucca, the Dobyns Mike Bucca Bull Shad Series Casting Rods are built to deliver the ideal action for fishing Mike’s 6–11” Bull Shad swimbaits as well as a wide range of other large swimbaits.

Built on the proven platform of the Dobyns Swimbait Rod Series, these rods feature ultra-sensitive high modulus graphite blanks reinforced with Kevlar wrapping. The blanks are carefully balanced and precisely splined to maximize performance, delivering the power and responsiveness serious swimbait anglers demand. Each rod features a fast action—leaning toward the moderate side of fast—making them excellent for casting jointed hard baits and glide baits equipped with treble hooks.

Premium components complete the build from end to end. The rods are outfitted with Sea Guide XO Guides that are lightweight, highly durable, and help maintain optimal balance. A Fuji reel seat provides a secure and dependable connection to your reel, while the signature full EVA foam handle found on Dobyns swimbait rods offers comfort and control during long days on the water. Purpose-built for modern swimbait techniques, the Mike Bucca Bull Shad Series delivers the performance anglers expect from Dobyns.
