NORTHFACE THERMOBALL ECO SNOW TRICLIMATE JACKETC - CLAY GREY

NORTHFACE THERMOBALL ECO SNOW TRICLIMATE JACKETC - CLAY GREY

This jacket is a 3-in-1 snow-sports system designed to handle serious winter conditions while staying versatile enough for everyday wear. On the outside it provides waterproof and breathable protection; inside it offers synthetic insulation that retains warmth even when damp.

 Key Features

  • Outer Layer (Shell): Uses a seam-sealed DryVent™ 2-layer fabric made from 100% recycled polyester with a non-PFC durable water-repellent (DWR) finish. This keeps you dry in rain or snow.

  • Inner Jacket (Insulated Layer):

    • Body: Insulated with ThermoBall™ Eco—100% post-consumer recycled polyester synthetic insulation that retains warmth even when wet.

    • Sleeves: Insulated with Heatseeker™ Eco synthetic fill (hollow-core fibres) for durability, warmth and performance.

  • System & Fit: Both the outer shell and the inner insulated jacket zip together (zip-in compatibility) so you can wear them combined, separately, or layered depending on the conditions.

  • Snow/Ski Specific Features:

    • Helmet-compatible hood with hidden cord-lock adjustment.

    • Snap-down powder skirt with gripper elastic to keep snow out.

    • Under-arm venting to regulate heat and airflow during high activity.

    • Secure zip pockets: chest pocket with internal cord routing, hand pockets, wrist pocket with goggle wipe.

    • Adjustable cuffs, internal hem drawcord, ticket-loop at hem.

Technical Specs

  • Style #: NF0A7WYE-5IF (Clay Grey)

  • Fabrics:

    • Outer body: 75D 133 g/m² DryVent™ 2L (100% recycled polyester) with non-PFC DWR.

    • Outer body lining: 50 g/m² 100% recycled polyester mesh.

    • Inner body: 50D 78 g/m² 100% recycled polyester with non-PFC DWR.

    • Inner body insulation: 11 g/ft² ThermoBall™ Eco (100% post-consumer recycled polyester).

    • Inner sleeve insulation: 60 g/m² Heatseeker™ Eco (70% post-consumer recycled polyester).

  • Weight (approx.): ~1157 g (2 lb 8.8 oz) for the men’s version; women’s variant will vary.

Why You’ll Like It

  • Offers weather protection (waterproof + breathable) for snow, slush, rain or windy conditions.

  • Insulation keeps you warm even when conditions get damp.

  • Highly versatile: wear outer shell alone, insulation layer alone, or both together — good for varying weather and activities.

  • Built for ski/snowboard use but also works as a rugged winter everyday jacket thanks to its clean design.

  • Eco-conscious materials: recycled fabrics and insulation reduce environmental impact.

Things to Consider

  • Because it’s a 3-in-1, the jacket might be bulkier than a simple insulated everyday coat.

  • Proper care (re-applying DWR) is helpful to maintain the water-repellent performance.

  • If you’ll be mostly using it in mild winter conditions (above freezing, low precipitation), this might be more jacket than you need.

  • Ensure you check the women’s sizing version (since you specified the women’s colour) for the correct fit, as the above specs are often for the men’s version.
